A law enforcement officer from Mississippi has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor in his patrol car and filming for six months with another officer gun, just days after he was placed on administrative leave.
On the same day of a police conference about the allegations, a body was discovered in a Dodge Charger on Interstate 220 on Monday at 12.45 pm. When asked if there was a connection between the two-hour closure on the highway, the Jackson police station spokesperson said at the time that this could not be confirmed.
James Hollins was removed from his police duties this weekend awaiting an investigation of a 15-year-old girl whose mother reported that he had been the victim of a rape in the last six months.

& # 39; We take all matters relating to sexual assault very seriously. We want the family to understand that if at any point there is evidence that something has gone wrong, we will not hesitate to take action, & # 39; Sergeant Roderick Holmes had said during the press conference.
The department said there would be an internal and criminal investigation.
The body was later confirmed to be Hollins who had served in the US Army.
He was found dead in his personal vehicle after he shot himself with another officer's revolver. While officials on leave do not always seize their weapons, this may be the case for Hollins.
& # 39; We don't know now whether the officer even knew their weapon was taken in the moment & # 39 ;, Mayor Lumumba told WBLT.

The Jackson police department said there would be an internal and criminal investigation after the mother had reported that her daughter had been the victim of a rape in the last six months.
According to the victim's family lawyer, the teenager was approached by the Hollins and befriended her. The alleged abuse took place several times a week in the course of six months before the child's mother was caught.
Lawyer Lisa Ross said the mother was asked if she had evidence when she made the allegation and she answered yes with regard to the obtained videos.
The police watched the video & # 39; s and the first statements were taken from the victim.
Lawyer Ross said Monday about the sexually explicit video & # 39; s: & # 39; You wouldn't find anything worse on Pornhub. & # 39;
"We intend to ask the US Prosecutor and the Department of Justice to take over an investigation into a Jackson police officer who has sexually assaulted a minor," Ross said before his death.
& # 39; What he did with this young girl was unreasonable and it is impossible to say how many others there are … We want people who have seen something to say something. & # 39;

Ross reported the allegations to the police on Saturday, but he has complained that Chief Davis & # 39; did not immediately jump ".
Mayor Lumumba said the police chief had informed him that he had received videos from the couple. The mayor said that chief Davis asked permission to place Hollins on leave.
David then contacted internal affairs and the department sent a letter to Hollins confirming the administrative leave.
The mayor believes that the Chief Commissioner acted immediately.
Lumumba said about criticizing the timeline for action: & # 39; That's something we don't have to add to the story. The story is already sad, and it's a bad story to start with.
& # 39; That doesn't make me anti-police, but it makes me anti-police corruption. & # 39;
