A university student from Georgia who went missing last month was found dead Friday and the authorities have identified two suspects.
The body of Alexis Crawford, a 21-year-old senior at Clark Atlanta University, was found in a park in Dekalb County on Columbia Drive in Atlanta.
Erika Shields, Atlanta police commissioner, said in a press conference that authorities were led to the body by Crawford & # 39; s friend and roommate, Jordyn Jones.
This prompted investigators to identify Jones, 21, as a possible suspect in Crawford's death.
Jones initially told officers she had last seen Crawford on October 30 in her off-campus apartment 2.1 km from the campus.
Investigators have also called Jones' friend 21, Barron Brantley, a suspect in the case.
Shields said that prior to Crawford's disappearance, Crawford filed a police report against Brantley for unwanted advances.

& # 39; Although a motive has not been clearly established, the department adopted a police report from Alexis Crawford on 27 October. In this report, Alexis described unwanted kissing and touching by Barron Brantley, & # 39; said Shields.
& # 39; The case has reached one of the saddest conclusions and is absolutely heartbreaking. & # 39;
The police protect orders for arrest for both suspects.

Shields ended the press conference by thanking members of the authority working on the case and condolences to the Crawford family.
She said: & # 39; Thank you for treating Alexis as if she were one of our own family members. And for the Alexis family, our heart goes out to you. I'm really sorry we couldn't offer you a better ending. & # 39;
The Crawford family reported that the student was missing on November 1, after missing two days of work and lessons from October 30.

On the day she disappeared, Crawford was reportedly active on her social media accounts and sent money to her younger sister via the Cash app.
Crawford also went with Jones to a nearby small store around 11:30 PM before the two returned to their apartment at Heritage Station on McDaniel Street.
Jones said she saw Crawford for the last time at bedtime at 12:30 pm.
Allegedly Crawford told her friends that she didn't sleep comfortably & # 39; in her bedroom because of the Brantley incident earlier that month.

Jones reportedly said that she and Crawford & # 39; not on speaking terms & # 39; were at the time of the disappearance.
Her mother, Tammy Crawford, said her daughter seemed to be in a good mood and laughed when they last spoke.
Her family said it is rare for Crawford to go more than a day without talking to her parents or brothers and sisters.
Bobby Wright, Crawford's father said: & I just want you to come home safely – I hope God will walk with you and please prevent evil from coming her way – and we are there for you. & # 39;
