The businessman, who co-founded the fake tan brand with Blair James, has invested some of his generous earnings into the purchase of a sprawling mansion in Byron Bay.

Shaun and his fiancée Tess Shanahan have snapped up a six-bedroom house in what has been dubbed the ‘Golden Grid’ of Byron Bay, according to real estate.com.

The couple will have some very famous neighbors as Hollywood star Chris and his wife Elsa, as well as his brother Liam Hemsworth, own multimillion-dollar properties in the area.

Shaun’s new luxury property, which he purchased for $8.26 million, sits on a 1,010-square-metre elevated block and features a modern exterior with a columned porch.

AFL star Garry Wilson’s son Shaun has snapped up the property in the A-list hotspot months after the proposal and his huge Bondi Sands payday.

Last year, Shaun and his business partner Blair sold their Bondi Sands brand to Japanese skincare giant Kao Corporation in a massive partnership deal.

They made a small fortune from their globally popular self-tanning brand in the $450 million deal, more than a decade after first launching the company in 2012.

At the time, Shaun said the huge partnership deal with Kao would be transformative for the brand, which is already sold in 32 countries.
