The police are hunting a man who painted the face of an Asian woman white while posing as a fake makeup artist in a department store.
The shock incident occurred on Sunday 9 December in Beales in Bournemouth, Dorset at about 3:10 pm.
Where the smartly dressed man would have asked the victim – an Indonesian woman in her 50's living in the city – if she wanted a makeover.
The woman, who believed that he was real and from the MAC counter, politely accepted the request.
But according to the police, & # 39; matte & # 39; the man roughened her face in white makeup before he was noticed, challenged by a member of staff and ran away.
A Dorset police spokesman said: "The racially aggravated attack caused a lot of irritation and redness for the woman."
The police have now released a CCTV image of someone with whom they would like to talk and who at the time seems to wear a black top, jacket and blue jeans.

PC Alex Knapp, from the Bournemouth police, said: "The victim is understandably very upset by the incident and I am now in the position to give a CCTV image of the man I am related to. would like to speak with the incident.
