The man is stabbed to death with a samurai sword in the busy street of Sydney

A man who was killed on a residential street in Sydney was stabbed with a samurai sword by people known to him, according to a police source.

Earlier it was reported that the victim was shot to death with a bullet in the head in the Forest Lodge suburb near Glebe around 2:30 pm Friday, prompting the police to loot a house 150 meters away away on a nearby street.

Witnesses said they saw a man in his 20s staggering down the street and collapsing after hearing an altercation.

The police source also claimed, however, that the weapon discovered near the victim's body was a replica, reports The Daily Telegraph.
