Legendary Australian entertainment icon and PR and talent expert Jai Evans died on Sunday aged 43.

A source told Daily Mail Australia on Friday that Jai was found dead at his luxury Sydney apartment in Darlinghurst the previous day.

The cause of Jai’s death is currently unknown.

Bondi fitness entrepreneur Dan Wootton confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement on social media.

“RIP Jai Evans. Another beautiful friend gone too soon before his time,” Dan wrote alongside a radiant photo of Evans.

“Your vibrant energy and eagerness to help are unmatched. Rest in peace, Jai. Love you, friend.”

The Sydney-based PR guru had over two decades of experience in the PR industry.

He founded his own company called Evans Media in 2005 and has worked with hundreds of media companies to help them with their PR strategies.

Throughout his storied career, Jai worked as an advertising manager, publicist, magazine editor, copywriter and public relations expert.

Jai has helped many key Australian media outlets including Channel Nine, Sky News, News Limited, BRW and Vogue achieve their marketing goals.

The media guru also had a host of A-list Australian stars he called friends, including actress Lara Worthington and e-commerce queen Anastasia Fai Kogan.

He also had a brief acting career, appearing in an episode of the long-running soap opera Home and Away in 1997.

Earlier this year, he advised Pedestrian about some of the challenges the cast of Married At First Sight might experience after being thrust into the spotlight.

“Navigating the social media landscape can be particularly tricky for controversial figures on MAFS,” Jai began.

‘This is because brands and businesses may be reluctant to deal with someone whose credibility appears to be compromised.’
