The last person to see Jason Gale said he showed no sign of concern
The last person to see supermodel Megan Gale’s brother before he went missing more than a week ago says he showed no signs of concern.
Family, friends and the Western Australian police are desperate for Jason ‘Galey’ Gale, the 49-year-old ‘very private’ sibling of one of Australia’s most famous women.
Mister Gale was reportedly ‘really struggling’ before disappearing after witnessing the death of a colleague during a horrific workplace incident and regretting his dog’s death.
But when he stopped to buy gas and water on Tuesday, July 14 at the Popanyinning General Store, 180 km southeast of Perth, owner Stan Maughan said Mr. Gale looked good.
He stopped at the wharf just before 10am and the short stop in the bush city was the last time he was spotted.
Mr. Maughan said The Western Australian the 49-year-old refueled his Honda CR-V and entered the store ten minutes before 10:00.
“He got a bottle of water. It was $ 50 fuel and $ 3 for the water. He sat there fidgeting a bit while he waited for me, “said the shop owner.
“He stretched and walked around, but a lot of people do that. He was pretty cool. ‘

Mr Maughan described Mr Gale’s clothing as ‘ordinary citizens’ and said that he was not wearing anything to ‘flash’.
Mr. Gale did not speak to any of the other customers in the store during his two to three minute layover.
“Then he just casually went out and jumped in his car and headed north,” he said.
Narrogin police examined the store’s camera footage to see if anyone else had been in the car.
The industrial mechanic was known for going bush, but Gale’s girlfriend Belinda Murray said he had never disappeared like this.
“He hasn’t been the same since witnessing the death of a colleague a few years ago, and then the death of his beloved Doberman (dog) Badge,” she said.
“Normally I wouldn’t be so concerned if it hadn’t happened for that terrible accident and what it had done to him.”
Murray said that Gale lived alone and that his dog Badge was his constant companion, “but he also passed away, so Jason will feel very isolated inside.”
