The latest patch for The Last of Us: Part 1 addresses some major issues in the PC version.
The Last of Us is a masterpiece, but not (yet) on PC. The Naughty Dog hit struggles with numerous technical problems on the home computer, but things are slowly improving. More and more patches appear, version 1.0.3.0 was last released.
And that update brings a whole range of important improvements, especially for the graphics and frame rate. You can find the full patch notes on page 2 of the article, but be warned: The list is long.

Patch 1.0.3.0 for The Last of Us: Part 1 is available since Friday April 14, 2023 available for download via Steam.
Content: What’s in the update?
Patch 1.0.3.0 delivers numerous bug fixes and improvements. An overview of the most important changes can be found in the following bullet point list:
- When using higher frame rates, incorrect animations should no longer occur.
- The display of the flashlight and the associated incidence of light in darker areas of the game are said to have been corrected.
- The display of quick-time events at minimum settings should no longer fail incorrectly.
- New audio compatibility options have been added and the latencies for audio effects have been significantly reduced.
- The photo mode, the interaction with NPCs and the loading times are said to have been significantly improved.
- Errors in the German translation and in the achievements should have been fixed.
- The game should now run better on the Steam Deck, problems with AMD and Nvidia graphics cards have been fixed according to the patch notes.
Players should note: The Geforce RTX 3070 is still described as problematic. Naughty Dog wants to find a solution for possible graphic errors that can arise as a result.

What’s next after patch 1.0.3.0?
The developers had previously promised that work would continue on the PC version of The Last of Us: Part 1. Accordingly, more patches and updates will definitely be delivered laterto improve the gaming experience.
