The Killers will return Down Under for a tour in November/December to celebrate 20 years since they burst onto the music scene.

Formed in 2001 by frontman Brandon Flowers and pianist Dave Keuning, the rock band stormed the ARIA charts with their debut album Hot Fuss.

Now the hitmakers behind Mr Brightside are returning to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2004 album.

It will be the first time the band have come Down Under since their debut at A Day On The Green in 2022, and they have two very special types of shows lined up.

Kicking off in Townsville, The Killers will perform their Rebel Diamonds compilation concert, which will feature consecutive chart-topping tracks.

However, Sydney and Melbourne will be treated to a second exclusive concert: an exclusive performance of Hot Fuss in its entirety.

The Killers’ first show with Rebel Diamonds will be in Townsville on Saturday 30 November at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

They will then travel to Sydney, where Rebel Diamonds will perform on Friday 6 December and Hot Fuss on Saturday 7 December at Qudos Bank Arena.

They will return to Queensland on Monday 9 December to present Rebel Diamonds at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Melbourne will complete the tour with a performance from Rebel Diamonds on Thursday 12 December and Hot Fuss on Friday 13 December, both at Rod Laver Arena.

Tickets for all shows go on sale on September 12 at 4:00 p.m. local time. Border Members will receive an exclusive pre-sale on September 10 at 3:00 p.m. local time.

The band has been performing their acclaimed new single Bright Light’s at their sold-out Hot Fuss residency in their hometown of Las Vegas last month, receiving widespread praise.

The Killers, comprised of Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr. and Mark Stoermer, announced their eight-show residency in January.

The chart-toppers took the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August and performed all of the songs from their 2004 album Hot Fuss.

“It’s good to be home. Join the four of us for eight shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August to celebrate 20 years of Hot Fuss,” they wrote on social media.

Hot Fuss propelled the band to stardom and sold over seven million copies worldwide, peaking at number seven on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and topping the charts in the United Kingdom.

It spawned four commercially and critically successful singles: Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done, and Smile Like You Mean It.

The album and its first three singles earned five Grammy Award nominations.

The 2003 single, Mr Brightside, peaked at number 10 in both the US and UK and is The Killers’ most successful single.

The Killers will play their Rebel Diamonds concert, which will feature consecutive chart-topping tracks, for much of their tour, but Sydney and Melbourne will be treated to a second exclusive show called Hot Fuss, which will be a performance dedicated to their debut hit album in its entirety.
