South Sydney Rabbitohs stars Cody Walker and Jai Arrow met up with Australian hip-hop artist The Kid Laroi while in the United States over the weekend.

The popular musician, born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, is a die-hard Rabbitohs fan who grew up in Waterloo, right in the heart of Sydney’s southern territory, before making it big.

The Souths, currently based in San Diego, were given Saturday off and Walker and Arrow decided to make the three-hour trip to Los Angeles to meet the superstar.

“I grew up in Waterloo and the Rabbitohs are in my blood,” he said The Sydney Morning Herald.

“I love what the team represents and I’m excited that people in the United States will have the opportunity to see them play live in Las Vegas next weekend.”

Jai Arrow and Cody Walker met up with Australian hip-hop artist The Kid Laroi while in the United States.

Walker asked Laroi if he could talk to his son, who is a big fan of the rapper.

Walker’s son was delighted with the call and the musician promised him boxes for his show the next time he visited Australia.

Laroi wanted to be in the season premiere, but unfortunately he has touring obligations that he must fulfill.

However, his entourage plans to travel to Las Vegas to watch the games and see what the excitement is all about.

Meanwhile, the Souths have been very strict about players not overexerting themselves while they have time off from training in San Diego.

Several stars have requested permission to visit Disneyland with their families, and have been allowed on the condition that they use mobility scooters while there.

Rabbitohs hooker Damien Cook is a star who agreed to ride a scooter while at the world famous amusement park.

“Cooky has just returned from a small soft tissue injury, so it’s important for him in particular,” Bunnies high performance coach Andrew Croll said.

Laroi is a staunch Southern supporter, having grown up in Waterloo, South Sydney.

Walker’s son was excited to receive a call from one of his favorite musicians.

‘In fact, the boys came to us with the solution of renting scooters and strollers, which is positive for us. The alternative was not to go, so they met us halfway.

“On a normal day, guys take 10,000 steps, but if you’re at an amusement park, you’ll take 20,000 steps and cover an extra five to 10 miles with your legs.

‘We are trying to take advantage of the days off to refresh them because we are trying to peak for the first round.

‘Now it’s about training and resting on the days off. We’ve put some requirements on the guys who are out there with their families. “We want them to enjoy their time, but within reason.”

Other players and coaching staff, including forwards Keaon Koloamatangi and Sean Keppie, also plan to visit Disneyland while in the United States, and have also agreed to rent scooters to get around the park.
