A Chicago judge was removed from the bank after video footage revealed that she was leading a young child, presumably related to her, to a custody cell to behave badly.
Cook County Court Judge Jackie Portman-Brown was featured in the recordings that led the child into jail after telling her she was behaving badly and when the sheriff’s delegates refused an order to detain the child, say sources.

The child is supposed to be locked up for less than 10 minutes, but was described as “emotional” during the trial, WGN reports.
The judge has since been given an administrative task, reports the press.
Delegates are also the subject of an internal investigation, says the Sheriff’s Office of Cook County.
Surveillance video showed that the child was brought by an unknown woman to the courtroom on 19 February by an unknown woman, where Portman-Brown heard cases of adult crimes.
The video footage then shows that both the judge and the woman initially drag the child, who is about 6 to 8 years old, out of the courtroom. They take the child through the workspace from a sheriff to a storage cell.
Additional images then show the judge who personally takes the child into jail.
Portman-Brown is later seen as familiar for the day with the child and the unknown woman who brought her.

The chief judge heard about the incident a week later and took action.
‘Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans [reassigned] Judge Jackie Marie Portman-Brown for administrative duties, pending a meeting of the Circuit Court Executive Committee of Cook County on March 4, “said Pat Milhizer spokesperson.
WGN has also contacted Portman-Brown by telephone at an address that belongs to it. The news was told that she was not at home.
