The Internet has exploded with brutal memes in the wake of the sexting scandal between Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and journalist Olivia Nuzzi.
The romance reportedly began in 2023, when the star political reporter visited Kennedy’s $7 million California home to write an article for New York magazine.
At the time, the 31-year-old was engaged to Politico’s chief Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza, 50.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, Nuzzi admitted that “the nature of some communications between me and a former reporter became personal.”
Meanwhile, its editors confirmed that the other party was a “former relevant subject for the 2024 campaign.”
Social media users are not taking the journalist and former presidential candidate lightly.

Others mocked the public’s inability to understand Nuzzi’s attraction to the much older Kennedy.
The 70-year-old insisted he only met the political journalist once when she profiled him last year, with a spokesperson adding the relationship was “emotional and digital in nature, not physical”.
But sources close to the couple told the New York Post that they had been “sexting each other.”
A tweet from Nuzzi from 2015 shared with a NYMag article has resurfaced after the disgraced reporter was placed on leave, in which she asked: “Why does Hollywood think female journalists sleep with their sources?”
Nuzzi did not write the article, but hundreds of users quoted him on Twitter and responded with cruel memes and insults after they also dug up Kennedy’s profile where the couple “went on a hike” in 2023.
“Olivia Nuzzi from the future would like to talk to her. I don’t know if she’s aged well or not,” one user commented.
