The interior designer of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is sued by a former client after she dropped her original project for the renovation of the Frogmore Cottage from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Vicky Charles, former Global Head of Design at Soho House, is being sued for $ 239,000 in a lawsuit filed by Andrea Olshan, who claims that Charles did not complete her homes in Manhattan and East Hampton and then refused to pay her back.

The lawsuit reads: & # 39; Mrs. Charles began in all likelihood to separate herself from the project, based on information and belief, to work for more & # 39; A-List & # 39; customers such as the duke and Duchess of Sussex who allegedly hired Mrs. Charles to renovate their Frogmore Cottage awaiting the birth of their first child, baby Archie Harrison, mid-2019. & # 39;

The designer of the stars is said to have left & # 39; off work & # 39; and & # 39; have never been fully involved in the projects & # 39; and was instead involved with renovations of $ 3 million from The Duke and Duchess.

Olshan, CEO of Olshan Properties, hired Charles to provide a & # 39; ready-made product & # 39; in a new 12,000 square meter home in East Hampton.

Charles was also contracted to breathe new life into Olshan's & # 39; s apartment in Manhattan, but instead gave the job to under-qualified designers, the suit claims.

Meanwhile, the company's website says: & Vicky works directly with every customer – whether they have a strong vision of what they want to achieve or look at her to create a vision that resonates with their needs and lifestyle. & # 39;

Olshan claims in the suit that Charles failed to create & # 39; even a simple color scheme & # 39; and & # 39; did little more than Charles & Co. employees to repackage Internet images that Mrs. Olshan had provided them as style inspiration. & # 39;

The designer was & # 39; completely apologetic & # 39; and & # 39; brought it to her company abroad & # 39; in a July 2019 meeting, the suit says.

The next day, however, Charles stopped the project and reportedly refused to repay Olshan the $ 239,000 in fees and costs – part of the half-million-dollar project for which she had a contract.

A representative for Charles has not yet sent back the request for comment from DailyMail.com.
