An influencer wailed to her TikToK followers for facing backlash for boasting that she bought her first home at the age of 21.
Katelli Bailey, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, recently posted a video celebrating that she managed to buy a house entirely and mortgage-free despite her young age.
Holding a bottle of champagne with confetti inside, she popped it before exclaiming, commenting on the clip: “Biggest achievement of my life. Here’s my new chapter.
But not everyone was happy, with some users noting that they work full time and can’t afford to be a homeowner.
“So sad for the people who work the least they get this and the people who put their lives on the line can barely afford heating,” one commenter wrote.

Another commented, “Luckily I’m here paying 2k a month in rent because I don’t qualify for a mortgage despite working 40 hours a week.”
Then Catelli made a second video where she cries to her followers about the comments she was getting.
‘I just wanted to come here to say I’m sorry to anyone who feels like I’m showing off the house thing,’ she said.
“Yes, the system is perfectly fine, and I will never think about the fact that I got so lucky.”
Telegraph and Argos Reported that Katylee first started her own TikTok ‘as a bit of fun’ but now earns up to £1,000 for every video she posts. I left university to pursue social media as a full-time career.

Champagne crackle! Catelli made a video a couple of days ago, celebrating getting a mortgage for a house

It was reported that she first started TikTok ‘as a bit of fun’ but now earns up to £1,000 for every video she posts. I left university to pursue social media as a full-time career

Some users took to the comments to express how they felt about Catelli’s video – some said they work full time and still can’t afford to buy a home.
Catelli continued by saying, “But believe it or not, as much as some of you don’t want to understand this, I do work and let me tell you something, social media is very mentally draining.
I know there are a lot of people who work where they are. I’ve been really lucky just with social media.
And yes my family has given me an amazing life. But I wasn’t raised with money, so to be able to achieve such a big thing at 21 years old, I’m so grateful.
I’m not a braggart, I’m very proud of myself. I think if anyone else had the chance, they would.
Catelli went through a breakup last month with another TikTok influencer, Grace Waites, after they decided to end their 21-month relationship.
She continued, “It’s like when people think I’m not human or something, I actually have other things going on in my life and I’m getting frustrated with something I’m really proud of.”

“I’m already working out and let me tell you something, social media is very mentally draining,” Catelli said.
Then she wiped some tears from her eyes and said “Sorry” with a half giggle.
Catelli continued, “I just want to say a huge thank you to all of my family, friends and supporters.
I’ve been able to get to where I am today thanks to everyone’s love and support.
Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don’t put someone else down just to make yourself feel better about yourself.
“Unfortunately in this day and age it’s as if people say you have to think smarter rather than harder, and I still can’t come to terms with the fact that I got lucky.”
She continued, “If you don’t like it, don’t watch it because I’m going to be building flat bags from IKEA tomorrow and guess what?” I record it.

“Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion,” Catelli said, “but don’t put someone else down just to make you feel better about yourself.”

TikTok users poured into the comments to send Katylee support and tell her not to regret the situation
‘Why? Because I want to, so p*** all of you haters and all of my supporters, I love you all.
The video has garnered 675,000 views and over 70,000 likes, with users taking to the comments section to send their support.
