The Inbetweeners could be returning to screens as one of the lead stars has revealed they are in talks for a reboot.
Joe Thomas, 40, who played Simon in the hit coming-of-age comedy, said the entire main cast is keen to reunite a decade after the last film aired.
The actor suggested that another movie is more likely than a new TV series and that it would follow the group of boys outside of school.
Speaking on the Always Be Comedy podcast, Joe was asked if there have been any talks about a return, he said: ‘Yes, it has been done in various ways. We all think it would be a good idea to do it.
He revealed he is still good friends with the cast, including James Buckley (Jay), Simon Bird (Will) and Blake Harrison (Neil), and admitted they are worried about whether “it will be as good” as the original series.

Joe Thomas, 40, who played Simon in the hit coming-of-age comedy, said the entire main cast is keen to reunite a decade after the last film aired.
He teased “some of the ideas that are out there” for a revival that included a bachelor party in Las Vegas.
The four boys would also meet up to play indoor football instead of playing in the school common room.
But Joe admitted: “We all wondered, ‘Is it going to be as good? ‘ That’s what we’d have at the beginning.”
The sitcom, which also starred Emily Atack as Charlotte, ran for three seasons between 2008 and 2010, but it was the two films in 2011 and 2014 that brought The Inbetweeners widespread popularity.
The Inbetweeners 2, which saw the child quartet travel to Australia, broke the box office record for the first film by taking £2.75m on its opening day.
Joe continued: ‘We’re all still together, we’re still part of each other’s lives. We still love each other. And if something came up, I think we’d want to do it.
‘I feel like we still love each other very much.
‘We’ve all been able to go away and have a few weights lifted, in terms of things we felt we needed to do outside of The Inbetweeners to prove something to ourselves.’

Joe even met his wife Hannah Tointon on the show over 15 years ago and the couple have since welcomed their first child.
Hannah and Joe met after she played Tara, his character Simon’s on-screen girlfriend, during the third series of Inbetweeners.
Joe confirmed they were dating in 2010, but admitted he was baffled by how their relationship blossomed after their scenes together on the show.
He said: ‘I can’t really understand how those scenes sparked romance because she was throwing up in my mouth… but I really like that, so obviously it was fine.’
“It’s a pretty intense experience to be on set, so maybe that contributes, but we don’t base our relationship on Simon and Tara’s relationship on the show.”
In 2018, the pair appeared together in summer comedy The Festival, at which time Joe told Christine Bleakley on ITV’s Lorraine that he was delighted to be starring with his fiancée again, eight years after their first work together.
He joked: “I came on stage like she was all over it, I think it went really well!”
