The 87-year-old actor’s storied career has spanned more than six decades and he has nearly 100 credits to his name.
The Los Angeles native has even reached the top of the industry several times, having won two Oscars in 1980 and 1989.
Now the living legend was spotted looking almost unrecognizable on a solo outing in New York City on Wednesday.

The star certainly went unnoticed as he was seen sporting a much more disheveled look than usual, including a white beard.
Dustin, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his roles in Kramer vs. Kramer and Rain Man, wore a casual look consisting of a blue button-down shirt, black jeans, white sneakers, a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Not seen at the outing was his long-time wife, Lisa Hoffman, 70, who is 17 years his junior.
Parents Jacob, 43, Rebecca, 41, Maxwell, 39, and Ali, 37, married in 1980 after knowing each other through their families for years.
Dustin is also a father to Karina, 58, and Jenna, 54, from his first marriage to Anne Byrne, which ended in 1980 after 11 years. Dustin and Lisa married later that year.
In an interview with IntimatelyLisa spoke about her marriage and said, “I say in Hollywood it’s like dog years, so you have to multiply it by seven.”
She added that more than four decades after tying the knot, she and the Rainman actor are “more in love” than ever and that their affection for each other “continues to grow.”

Lisa met Dustin when she was 10 and he was 27 at a family barbecue. His mother was a friend of her grandmother.
That day, the Tootsie star spent time with Lisa and her eight-year-old brother.
“Dustin would tell us jokes, play the piano and encourage me to dance around the living room,” she explained in a 2007 interview with the Daily Mail.
“After we got together, my grandmother reminded me that later that day I had told her, ‘I hope he waits for me because I want to marry him,'” she said.
And it turned out to be fate when the couple met again when she was 22 and he was 38 and had just divorced.
They met at Lisa’s grandfather’s funeral and then went on their first date.
They have been together ever since. She revealed the secret of her lifelong love.
“We worked hard on it,” she told Closer. “I knew I would end up with Dusty and that my life would be traveling with him.”
His wife Lisa Hoffman was not seen on the outing, as the two married in 1980. The couple is pictured together in 1982, when Lisa was six months pregnant with their second child, Rebecca.
