The band originally split in 1991, before Dave joined The Red Hot Chilli Peppers from 1993 to 1998, appearing on their album One Hot Minute.

They later reunited and released albums in 2003, 2011 and a one-off single in 2013, as well as touring worldwide.

Last year, during an appearance on Brazilian radio, singer Perry Farrell joked that the band was working on new songs and “couldn’t wait” for fans to hear them.

Saying, ‘I feel like this new batch of songs, we don’t know how many we’re going to put out.’

In 2022, the band was forced to cancel their show at the Welcome To Rockville music festival in Florida due to Dave suffering from prolonged COVID-19.

She revealed in a since-deleted Instagram post that she has been dealing with “long-haul Covid” for months and said there is no end in sight to her symptoms.

People with long Covid are those who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 but experience persistent symptoms weeks and months after the initial illness has resolved.

“Yes, I am one of the people who contracted ‘long-haul Covid’. I have been sick since December and I will supposedly be back to my old self in… no one knows how long,” Navarro wrote.

‘If there are any of you who are still suffering long after your negative results, I’m just saying that you are not alone.

“Fatigue and isolation are awful enough, but try to spend time with your loved ones and stay creative,” she continued.

Navarro added that he relies on spiritual practices to help him get through the worst of it, and in particular, “meditation and yoga have been very helpful.”

Long COVID, or post-COVID illness (PCI), occurs when patients who have recovered from the initial infection with the virus continue to experience persistent symptoms. There are indications that those with long COVID may be dealing with symptoms for years.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and PreventionSymptoms of long Covid generally include: extreme fatigue, post-exertional malaise, fever, shortness of breath, cough, chest pain, palpitations, brain fog, headache, trouble sleeping, dizziness, tingling sensation, loss of smell/taste, depression or anxiety, diarrhea, stomach pain, joint or muscle pain, rash, and changes in menstrual cycles.

“I’ll be fine, I just don’t know when,” Navarro said, adding that “all indicators point to a full recovery at some point!”

Dave ended his post by asking people not to send their well wishes because he is…I’m so tired of talking about this.
