A driver and passenger on a scooter that collided with a cyclist were captured on CCTV allegedly fleeing through the bushes away from the scene of the accident.

Police said the scooter and bike collided on the M7 Cycleway in Rooty Hill last July, leaving the 31-year-old cyclist with injuries to her legs and arms.

Officers released images of two men wearing ski masks who police believe may help with the investigation of the crash.

The photos show two masked figures running through a field near trees and dense undergrowth.

The masked biker was wearing black DKNY sweatpants, a black ski mask, a black padded vest, a blue sweater and white Nike TN shoes when he was photographed climbing a short fence near tall grass, police revealed.
