Tom Blyth has revealed he wants to return to the Hunger Games franchise after a new prequel film was announced.
The actor, 29, took on the role of a younger Coriolanus Snow in the 2023 prequel The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and has now hinted that he is not done with the role.
Tom, who starred in the film alongside Rachel Zegler, has revealed that he would “love” to reprise his role as the infamous villain in Suzanne Collins’ dystopian series.
“I would love to do another (Hunger Games movie),” he told Herald of the sun.
“There’s so much more to tell about Snow and her cousin Tigris and I feel like there are so many things about that world that are so rich and worthy of being delved into.”
Tom Blyth has revealed he wants to return to the Hunger Games franchise after a new prequel film was announced.
The actor, 29, took on the role of a younger Coriolanus Snow in the 2023 prequel The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes alongside Rachel Zegler as his love interest Lucy Gray Baird.
President Coriolanus Snow was first played by Donald Sutherland in the Hunger Games trilogy, before Tom played an 18-year-old version of him in the prequel.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes explored the early days of Panem’s tyrannical president, who was the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that fell from grace in the post-war Capitol.
Tom’s comments come after it was revealed that a fifth novel in the Suzanne Collins series will be released next year, and that a film adaptation is also in the works.
The novel is titled Sunrise on the Reaping and is scheduled for release on March 18, 2025, with a film adaptation of the novel to follow in 2026.
Sunrise on the Reaping will be a prequel to the original trilogy, taking place 40 years after the events of the most recent tale, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Due to the schedule, it’s unlikely Tom will return as President Snow for the 2026 film, but no casting decisions have been revealed yet.
Sunrise on the Reaping will return to the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games and will focus on the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
It is expected to explore the story of Katniss Everdeen’s mentor, Haymitch Abernathy, originally played by Woody Harrelson, who was the winner of that year’s pageant.
Author Collins said in a statement: “With Sunrise on the Reaping, I was inspired by David Hume’s idea of implicit submission and, in his words, ‘the ease with which the many are ruled by the few.’

‘The story also lent itself to delving into the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘Real or not real?’ Every day it seems more pressing to me.
Although the novel’s release is nine months away, Lionsgate has announced plans for a film based on the tome.
Francis Lawrence is in talks to direct the adaptation of Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson’s Color Force.
Lawrence, screenwriter Michael Arndt and producer Jacobson worked with Lionsgate on The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
Lionsgate has set a November 20, 2026 release date for The Hunger Games: Harvest Dawn.
It comes after it was revealed that a fifth novel in the Suzanne Collins series will be released next year, with a film adaptation also in the works (pictured: Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen).
The new prequel, titled Sunrise on the Reaping, is expected to explore the early story of Katniss Everdeen’s mentor Haymitch Abernathy, originally played by Woody Harrelson.
Adam Fogelson, president of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said: “The Second Quell of the Twenty-Five is legendary and looms large in the history of the Games, even in the time of Katniss Everdeen, a quarter of a century later.
“Like fans around the world, we are eagerly anticipating this exciting return to Panem.”
Jennifer Lawrence appeared in all four of the original Hunger Games films and earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Katniss after taking on the role in the first film in 2012.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soon followed in 2013 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and Part 2 were released in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
