A pensioner whose neighbor had sex on a bollard that she had installed in the middle of a fight over a parking lot has spoken for the first time about ordeal.

Wendie Bryant, 68, today waived her right to anonymity to speak about her extraordinary feud with Lee Craig McConnell on her dead end at Blandford Forum, Dorset.

Mrs. Bryant revealed how she had a series of arguments with him about where he parked his Volkswagen motorhome culminating in him masturbating outside his front door before calling his wife Danielle and having sex with her on top of their neighbor’s bollard.

Reliving the shocking incident, Ms Bryant told MailOnline: “He was stark naked doing ‘it’, then he called his wife, she was wearing a shawl, and he leaned her over the bollard.”

And she criticized columnist Giles Coren for making jokes about the case that left her traumatised.

Ms Bryant, a retired international food trader, revealed that an hour before the sex act last October, her husband Colin, 70, had been rushed to hospital with health complications from a previous stroke, leaving her alone at home.

She said: ‘It’s been traumatic. I can’t understand how someone can do this. Colin had left in an ambulance at 10 pm that same night and an hour later they were out doing it in my parking lot.

“In court, he said he didn’t know he was being filmed, but he was gesturing to the camera the whole time, so I think he knew.

He knew he was alone in the house.

‘I still can’t figure it out. I keep wondering how the hell he got this far when all I asked of him is that he not park in my parking space.

Ms Bryant said she only found out what had happened when she checked her CCTV cameras in the morning.

She said: “I was completely disgusted and so angry when I saw the footage, I just thought ‘these people need to be stopped’.

I gave a copy to the police and then deleted it. He was so upset that he didn’t want to save those images anywhere.

McConnell, 28, was arrested. In court earlier this month, he pleaded guilty to indecent exposure. Because it is a sexual offence, Ms. Bryant had a right to anonymity as her victim, which she has now waived.

The dispute began in May 2022 when McConnell began parking his VW motorhome in the Bryants’ parking lot which, due to the cul-de-sac design, was outside their home.

After repeatedly asking not to park there, Ms Bryant installed a lockable bollard that was damaged on several occasions, prompting her to install a CCTV camera in September.

She said: ‘I don’t know why this happened. I have always been very nice to them.

McConnell's wife, Danielle (pictured), wrote a letter to her neighbors apologizing to them.

“Colin was in the hospital for ten weeks starting in May and the day he got out they were parked there, he turned to me and said ‘they could have waited until I died to take my parking space.

‘It may look like 7 feet of asphalt to people, but it’s my 7 feet of asphalt.

“I actually feel guilty that I got this far, but he (McConnell) pushed me to the end. He pushed me to install the bollard, he pushed me to put up the camera, and he pushed me to call the police.

‘I don’t know why he doesn’t like me. So maybe it’s just because I stood up to him.

Retired property surveyor Mr. Bryant has lived in the house for 20 years, while former international food trader Wendie moved in ten years ago. They said there had never been a problem with parking before, but the lines started a year after the couple arrived.

In court, McConnell said he put his house up for sale and was ordered not to have any contact with Mrs. Bryant.

She said: ‘He has a no contact order which doesn’t prevent him from living near me. I can’t stop him from going to the grocery store at the same time as me or walking to his car when I’m crossing the fence.

“I really don’t know why I’m not scared of the guy because he’s a pretty big guy, he’s ex-military and I have fibromyalgia, a dicky ticker and a pacemaker. So if he wanted to hurt me, you could easily do it.

‘But I worked in the city for ten years in the 1980s, I understand bullies and intimidation. I’ve seen it all before and this man doesn’t intimidate me.

The court case was reported in the UK and around the world, but Ms Bryant says she felt compelled to tell her side of the story after columnist Coren mocked the row.

Coren wrote: ‘You have to say, congratulations to both of you. I can’t even persuade my wife to do it with me at home, in bed, in the dark, in the newly redecorated bedroom that I’ve just spent thousands of pounds on. And yet Lee Craig McConnell has only to complain that his next-door neighbor has blocked his parking space again and his lady is straddling him outside on a cold bollard at Blandford Forum. .

But Wendie said, “It may be funny for Coren, but he put down what we had to go through and made a joke out of us.” Coren doffed his hat to them for breaking the law. I hope he is proud of himself.

McConnell will be sentenced at Weymouth Magistrate Court on April 27. His wife was not charged in connection with the incident after writing an apology letter to the neighbors.
