Home and Away fans were left devastated on Monday night when fan-favourite character Felicity Newman, played by Jacqui Purvis, collapsed in shocking scenes.
Now, after leaving fans in tears with the death of her character in the soap opera, the 33-year-old actress has broken her silence on its heartbreaking final episodes.
The Australian star, who is looking to make it big in Hollywood, posted a touching tribute on Instagram on Tuesday to her fans and the show that made her famous.
“What a life! Thank you @homeandaway for three amazing years. I had a blast,” she wrote alongside a montage of her behind-the-scenes antics.
“This is just a sample of the love I have for the cast and crew; there are so many people missing.”
Jacqui also gave special thanks to her co-star and on-screen love interest, Ethan Browne, who played Felicity’s ex-husband, Tane Parata.
“There are so many people to thank but most importantly @atlas143 (Ethan) for helping us create a beautiful love story,” Jacqui wrote.
“And to the fans for their unwavering support, thank you for allowing Flick into your homes. I hope it brought you as much joy as it did me.”

Ethan also responded, writing, “What a ride indeed! You brought ‘Tanicidad’ to life and injected thunderous energy into the bay!”
“Thank you for honoring us with this. We will miss you very much, my friend.”
Jacqui’s final scenes aired on Monday as Felicity’s brother Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) made the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life support.

The character was then rushed to hospital in critical condition and subsequent episodes show the rush to save his life when he was suffering from a brain aneurysm.
However, promos at the time confirmed that Felicity would not survive the resulting brain damage and that actress Jacqui will be leaving Summer Bay.
“One of the best actresses Home and Away has ever had,” one Instagram user said of Jacqui, who has been on the Channel Seven soap for three years.
“Honestly, she deserves to be in big productions. It’s so sad to see Flick go. What an amazing character!”
“This is going to be so heartbreaking to watch,” wrote another viewer, while someone else added: “I haven’t stopped crying, this show will be empty without Flick.”

‘I owe a lot to the programme and, thanks to it, I feel confident and ready to take on the international stage.’
Jacqui is planning to head to Hollywood soon in search of world fame, following in the footsteps of former soap stars Chris Hemsworth, Isla Fisher and Samara Weaving.
