A Hollywood heartthrob gets a complete makeover with prosthetics in the official trailer for HBO’s new series, The Penguin.

Colin Farrell, 48, is unrecognisable as Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, in the clip, which gives viewers a glimpse into DC’s upcoming eight-episode series based on the villainous Batman character.

The Penguin follows the events that take place after 2022’s The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz.

The plot sees Colin’s character, Oz, attempt to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld.

The latest trailer opens with the main character slow dancing with his mother, who reminds him that she promised him “a beautiful life.”

It presents the perspective of a “gang war” as Oz conveys his strategy to “burn an empire from the inside out.”

In another scene, the villain has a one-on-one conversation with a young man and tells him, “America is a mess.”

Later, a young man tells Oz that he “can help him” because he “has ambition,” but after what appears to be an alliance, Oz is seen pointing a gun at the young man’s head.
