The family of a 25-year-old woman is devastated after she was senselessly killed while going through a Taco Bell drive-thru in northeast Ohio.

Megan Keleman was simply waiting for her food at the Stow fast food restaurant on Wednesday when a mysterious and tragic series of events unfolded.

Suddenly, a vehicle crashed into Keleman’s car from behind while she was standing in line; the driver then got out and approached her.

Witnesses at the scene recall seeing the driver approach Keleman as she sat in her own vehicle — before fatally shooting her and then turning the gun on himself.

The driver responsible for the apparent murder-suicide has been identified as Jason Williams, 53, also of Stow. Police said they have no indication the two knew each other.

People at the scene told police that Williams hit Keleman’s car after honking his horn as she entered the drive-thru.

TO A Taco Bell employee called the Stow Police Department at 7:19 p.m. Wednesday night when the incident occurred, but it was too late to save the 25-year-old victim.

Both Keleman and Williams were pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds, and autopsies will be performed by the Summit County Medical Examiner.

As detectives continue to investigate the baffling and heartbreaking incident, Williams’ motive remains unclear.

Authorities do not have any information to indicate that Williams and Keleman knew each other before the shooting, according to Police Chief Jeffrey Film.

Witnesses at the scene recall seeing the driver get out of his car and walk over to where Keleman was sitting in her own vehicle — before shooting her and then turning the gun on himself.

“As a police chief and a community leader, I would like to say that this is truly a tragedy. Not only did the Kelemans lose a daughter, but we as a community lost one of our daughters,” Chief Film said.

Those who knew her described Keleman as an animal lover, and her dog was in the car with her at the time of the horrific incident.

The dog has now been reunited with Keleman’s family.

They issued a family statement: ‘In light of recent events, our family is grieving the immensely painful loss of Megan Elizabeth Keleman.

We ask that the media and the public understand our privacy during this difficult time.

Keleman recently graduated from Cleveland State University, where he received a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in finance and financial management services.

On her Linkedin page, she described herself as a “child advocate and accountant.”

He worked for Shelter Care Inc., a residential treatment program based in Tallmadge, Ohio, for children ages 6 to 18 who have emotional or behavioral problems.

Williams’ criminal record includes a recent weapons arrest in Summit County, according to 19 News.

Court records show he was out on bail for that weapons charge, and a condition of the bail was that he not possess any firearms.
