Colton was shocked and dismayed by his results.

She explained: ‘I mean, right away, my husband got his sperm count results and he had amazing, great numbers, and I got mine back and all my sperm was dead.

“And I think I immediately thought, ‘Oh, what does this mean? It means I’m sterile and can’t have children now. And it wasn’t a great feeling.”

The Bachelor star felt a little lost when she wondered why her results were so poor and even admitted that finding that out was hard on her self-esteem.

He said: “I think one of the reasons men don’t talk about this is because it’s kind of a blow to the ego. They just say, ‘Why me, I’m an alpha male? How can I not do it?’ Doing the simplest task a man can do? And I kind of had that approach in approaching it.

“I thought, ‘I’m healthy. I workout every day. I’ve got this.’ And then my doctor gave me the results back and I had four sperm and three of them weren’t moving and one of them didn’t look very good either, so I literally had no sperm.’

Colton and Jordan wanted to separate the donor’s eggs so they could produce embryos, so the former NFL player received advice from doctors to get his sperm count back to a healthy level.

He found that exercising more than four times a week has an adverse effect on sperm, in addition to jacuzzi and sauna sessions, and was also taking synthetic testosterone during his football career days.
