The head of Take-Two expects the PS5 and XB Series Pro version to come | -WhatsNew2Day

Date:

It has been more than two years since the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S platforms, and although the current generation may witness a huge recovery this year, some have begun to wonder about the coming of stronger versions of these devices coming on the way.And just as we got PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, could there be something similar in this generation as well?

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick seems to think so, too. when I asked him GamesIndustry.biz Recently, in an interview about his expectations, will we see the PS5 Pro platform or an upgrade like it for current-generation devices on any existing platform? Zelnick responded to the question and said,We’ll probably see that,” but somehow added that it won’t affect Take-Two’s business.

Although Zelnick’s answer was brief, it seems consistent with what recent reports have claimed. Sony is currently allegedly working on a PS5 Pro with the company planning to launch the platform during late 2024, while developers will allegedly start getting developer hardware in the near future as well. Reports of an Xbox Series X/S upgrade have been sparse, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see both consoles unleashed with new and more powerful hardware in the next couple of years even though we haven’t seen the potential of the current generation yet.
