A football coach will appear in court later this month after 10 bags of cocaine were allegedly found in his Sydney hotel room when police searched it earlier this week.
Police responded to reports of an alleged drug transaction at a licensed location on Pyrmont St in the city center shortly after 3am on Monday.
Officers spoke to a 35-year-old man at the scene before conducting a search of his hotel room, according to a statement from New South Wales Police.

Once inside, police allegedly located 10 bags believed to contain cocaine, as well as $3,400 in cash.
The man, from Bonnyrigg Heights, was arrested and taken to Day Street police station.
“He was charged with supplying prohibited drugs (more than indictable and less than commercial quantity) and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
“He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Center Local Court on Wednesday 30 October 2024.”
The man is understood to be a coach of a well-known team in the NSWRL competition, but does not work for any NRL club.
