A bloodied Russian soldier who killed a Ukrainian fighter in a savage knife fight has been photographed for the first time since the horrific clash.
The man, believed to be called Tuta, was seen attacking the Ukrainian near the ruins of a bombed building.
But in an incredible moment captured on body camera footage, the pair emotionally paid their respects as the injured Ukrainian fighter breathed his last.
The Russian soldier knelt next to the dying Ukrainian as he sent a last message to his mother.
Now photographs and videos of the Russian fighter, believed to be from the Sakha Republic in northern Siberia, have begun to circulate on social media.
There have been calls from Russian war channels for the soldier to be decorated for his bravery.
In the dramatic footage filmed by the Ukrainian’s body camera, the two men can be seen shooting each other for the first time.
The Ukrainian then manages to catch up to his opponent and grabs the Russian’s automatic rifle, leading to a struggle that results in Putin’s fighter pulling out his knife and brutally slashing his rival in the thigh.

The two combatants can be heard hurling insults at each other, with the Ukrainian warrior angrily telling his enemy: “You came to (invade) my homeland.”
The Russian soldier wins the knife battle and the Ukrainian fighter falls to the ground after being cut.
The unidentified defeated fighter, who is now losing blood, sends a message to his mother as he breathes his last.
‘That’s it, mom. Bye bye’.
The Russian soldier then approaches the wounded fighter and kneels next to him.
“You cut my whole body,” the Ukrainian fighter shouts.
As he lies wounded, the Ukrainian begs the Russian to let him die in peace.
But he greets his enemy by saying: “I want to die too.” Thank you. You were the best fighter in the world.
The emotional moment came after a rare hand-to-hand combat fight that led to a knife battle between a Ukrainian soldier and a Russian soldier.
The Russian soldier can briefly be seen laying a hand on his Ukrainian rival.
The footage is reported to come from Trudove, in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine and is believed to have been filmed in the autumn but only recently released.
“Bye, you were better.”
The Russian fighter – also wounded in combat – steps back and says: ‘Goodbye.’
The Russian’s knife is clearly visible as he retreats, blood on his face.
The defeated Ukrainian then removes the pin on his grenade in an attempt to take his own life.
Russian accounts of the incident claim that the grenade explosion left the Ukrainian even more injured, with his hand torn off, but still alive.
He then told the Russian to “hoard me.”
