A Facebook group claims to have a comprehensive list of the locations of Sydney mobile phone cameras.

The Police in the Area page posted the list on social media prior to the Queen’s birthday weekend, when there are colons.

From Friday through Monday, there are double penalties throughout New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Agents will target motorists for speeding, seat belt violations, and using their cell phones.

“Here’s a handy list of phone camera locations,” the message read.

Social media users reacted mixedly to the post, with a number of people wondering why drivers should know.

“Here’s a helpful tip, stay off your phone and you don’t have to worry about anything,” one person wrote.

“I don’t understand why you would tell people,” wrote another.

Mobile phone detection cameras were installed throughout New South Wales earlier this year.

The fine for illegal cell phone use while driving in NSW is $ 344 – or $ 457 in a school zone – plus five negatives.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted NSW Transport for comment.
