Mahmoud Bargshoon, 39, was charged on August 16 with dishonest possession and tampering with a unique identifier.

A man who was on Centrelink for five years before he was allegedly arrested with a Lamborghini, a Harley Davidson and two Rolex watches has been identified.

Mahmoud Bargshoon, 39, was charged on August 16 with dishonest possession and tampering with a unique identifier.

Unique identifiers are a series of numbers that an organization assigns to a person.

They can include things like a driver’s license number, passport number, or student ID.

Police had launched an investigation in May into the unexplained wealth of individuals with suspected links to organised crime networks.

Their investigation led them to a unit in Parramatta, in Sydney’s west, in July, where they found and seized a Lamborghini Huracan, a Harley Davidson V-Rod and two Rolex watches.

The seized items have a combined value of more than $500,000.

Footage from Bargshoon’s arrest also showed a shoe rack stocked with an assortment of Nike trainers (a premium footwear brand) and a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall in the living room.

The 39-year-old has been unemployed since 2019 and was dragged out of the unit by heavily armed police wearing only his underwear.

Bargshoon previously appeared in the media over a dispute between his wife Fatima Hage and his ex-girlfriend Rose over a Rolex.

Rose had accused him of stealing her luxury watch before allegedly giving it to Ms Hage, a glamorous hairdresser.

Ms Hage strongly denied the allegations on behalf of her husband to Daily Mail Australia and claimed he was wearing a different watch.

The two-tone diamond watch, valued at $12,500, was the subject of a months-long dispute between the two women.

Before the relationship ended, Rose became suspicious and confronted Bargshoon, who denied having the watch.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that Bargshoon stole the watch.

Ms Hage’s former lover, Kemel Junior “Blackie” Barakat, was shot dead by masked men as she lay next to him in bed at a unit in Mortlake, in the south of the city, at about 2.30am on March 10, 2017.

Following Bargshoon’s arrest, authorities seized his Lamborghini Huracan and Harley.

Bargshoon had previously seen another $400,000 Lamborghini Huracan he had rented catch fire on a street in Olympic Park in Sydney’s west in May last year.

Police had been searching for two people who were seen carrying jerrycans moments before the fire broke out, but no charges have been filed.

Meanwhile, Bargshoon has aired Notice to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Friday 4 October 2024.
