The worrying incident caused the action to stop for several minutes while Goztepe midfielder Isaac Solet was treated by medical staff.
Moments after the match between Goztepe and Samsunspor began, the Central African Republic international was involved in a clash of heads and was immediately knocked unconscious.
The 23-year-old was initially treated on the pitch before being taken to a nearby hospital, where he is said to have regained consciousness.
A statement from the club read: “Our player Isaac Solet, who was hit on the head during an aerial challenge with an opposing player in the first minute of the match against Samsunspor, lost consciousness for a short time, but is now conscious and in good health. health.
