The flight captain who caught Liam Gallagher and Lily Allen having sex in first class has told how the lusty stars were so caught up in the moment they ignored repeated requests for them to stop.
The former Virgin Atlantic employee, who does not want to be named, told MailOnline that cabin crew tried to intervene after spotting the couple under the covers during their 11-hour drink-drunk journey.
Speaking about the incident for the first time, the captain revealed how the music stars drank large quantities of champagne before boarding the flight between London and the Far East and turned their first-class seats into beds before getting intimate.
Lily first revealed the 2009 affair in her 2018 autobiography My Thoughts Exactly and the affair caused a strain on Liam’s relationship with All Saints star Nicole Appleton, who he was married to at the time.
The captain said: ‘After an hour of flying, I was called out of the flight deck by a member of the cabin crew who told me that Lily Allen was in bed with Liam Gallagher.

“I came out and saw the two of them under a duvet. There was a lot of movement and they weren’t reading each other bedtime stories. It was clear what they were doing.”
She continued: ‘A crew member tried to stop them but they wouldn’t listen so they called me. Then a few moments later Lily stood up, walked back to her seat and pulled out an e-cigarette.
‘One of the cabin crew asked me, ‘Should I stop her?’ but I said, ‘She’s just slept with Liam Gallagher. Let her have a couple of puffs and she’ll pass out.’
The captain denied that their conduct was allowed to go unchallenged because they were stars, admitting that “it’s hard to stop” passengers from joining the “Mile High Club”.
He explained: ‘When the lights go out on the plane, people do bad things all the time, especially in first class.
“Some of them want to join the big league club, but it’s not that easy to stop them. You can’t just tell a passenger ‘stop having sex’ – what happens if they don’t?”
‘You can’t act like a parent to all passengers, even when they’re big stars and even when you know they’re doing something they shouldn’t.’
Liam and Lily were due to travel to Japan to attend the Fuji Rock Festival. Their flight took off on 23 July from Heathrow Airport and landed the following morning.
In the shocking excerpt from her book, Lily claimed they headed to her hotel together after one thing led to another and got drunk on the plane.

However, Liam begged Lily – who was a lifelong Oasis fan – never to reveal their affair for fear it could end his marriage to wife Nicole, whom he married a year earlier.
She wrote: ‘We got drunk on the plane. At one point Liam and I found ourselves in the bathroom together doing something he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs.
‘Then we were lying together in a bed.
“When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said to me, in his characteristic nasal drawl: ‘What are you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel?’. I said: ‘Yeah, okay.'”
She added: ‘It wasn’t until the next day when he said something like ‘No one can know about this because of Nic’, that I realised he was married.
”I knew Noel was married and Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That’s partly why I liked him.”
Despite hoping the secret romance would never come to light, Nicole discovered the truth six months after Liam asked Lily to lie to his wife.
The Fear singer explained that the Oasis frontman “sounded horrible, like he’d been up all night” when he said he needed her to tell Nicole that their night of passion was “shit.”
Lilly writes that she agreed, telling him: “Oh, Liam, yeah, sure, it’s all nonsense if that’s what you want, and not to think about it too much or even think about it at all, and then maybe it will go away and not disturb what really matters: the people we love and trust.”
According to the 39-year-old singer’s 2018 autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly, she and the musical sensation joined the highs club in 2009.
