Malin revealed that she struggled with co-parenting and that the loneliness she felt led her to adopt “negative behaviors” to cope, including excessive drinking and taking drugs.

She admitted that she would have screaming arguments with Jared and that her jealousy would lead her to ruin her days to have Xaya, exacerbating to a point where she “couldn’t stand to look at him.”

Malin continued: “I couldn’t stand it and I missed her so much. I was incredibly lonely and this manifested itself in many negative behaviors. I bought an eight thousand dollar hot tub and would sit in it and get drunk and look at the stars and cry.

“Other times, when Xaya wasn’t with me, I would go out for drinks with friends. I drank excessively and took drugs in an attempt to wipe out all the negative feelings.

“Even when I was with my daughter, I was angry at my ex for putting me in this situation, and I was full of grief because we weren’t the perfect family I had always dreamed of .”

Malin admitted she was “out of control” and full of rage, before eventually checking herself into a £12,000 rehabilitation clinic.

She signed up for a three-week program, which she credits for “helping me get my head straight,” while doing yoga “helped me refocus,” meaning that She now has a better relationship with alcohol and co-parenting.

She explained that she decided to speak out about her experiences to help others going through the same thing.

This comes after Malin took to her Instagram on Tuesday to share a selfie from her first day on the recovery program.

Her battle with alcohol and drugs followed a series of personal tragedies, with the reality star tragically losing her baby daughter Consy in January 2019, at just four and a half weeks old.

A few weeks ago, Malin’s mother, Consy-Gloria, also died following a battle with cancer, while her father also died of cancer when she was a child.

Malin also struggled with eating disorders, lost friends to suicide, and survived domestic violence.

In her Instagram post, she admitted that “alcohol was the friend that kept the pain away,” but she didn’t realize she was in “denial” about her alcohol and drug problem.

After reaching a truly “low” point, Malin became “afraid she would kill herself” after drinking and mixing if she didn’t get help.

She wrote: “Day 1 of rehab. The background in a photo. It hurts my heart to see her. I felt nervous posting this, but it’s the truth – and I realize maybe it can help someone else.

“I’ve been going around a drunken merry-go-round for a long time. It was my secret elixir for domestic violence, rape, heartbreak, and eating disorders.

“It was my friend who kept my pain at bay…for now. But what I didn’t realize was that I was refusing to go along for the ride.

“Round and round in vicious circles…it started with ‘I’m only having one drink’ and ended with a binge…to repeat. Why wasn’t I aware of the pattern I was in? Maybe I was.

“Maybe I didn’t want to break free because I knew what was going to happen…the truth. The truth of the need to heal. Heal the empty hole that was only getting bigger with alcohol.

“You always have to hit rock bottom. I was afraid of killing myself the next day after drinking and mixing. I couldn’t live like that anymore – feeling so depressed – I kept creating more pain and prolonging the natural healing of all the wounds.

The ITV2 star told fans everything will be fine as she is proof you can come out the other side as she is “still standing” and “evolved through the pain”.

She continued: “You can get off the ride at any time you want. You hold the power to welcome happiness and abundance into your life.

“Alcohol robs you of yourself… it pulls you into the deep end, so you struggle, but you still have your head above water, so you think everything is fine. You’re not not.

“You can experience a state of happiness with clarity in your head and trauma that needs to be examined.

“You will begin to level the two parts of your brain and unite your subconscious and conscious mind in harmony to reframe your belief system. You can’t do that with alcohol. It keeps you in the fog.

“True happiness comes when we become aware of what no longer works for our soul.

“You must carefully examine EVERY dark aspect of your being so that you can wake up and NEED NOTHING to alter your state of mind or attach anything or anyone.

“Our deepest authentic self wants us to return home, to our true selves. Free from attachment to anything that is not good for us.

‘Everything will be alright. In the end, it always works. I’m still standing and I’m here now to show you how much you CAN EVOLVE THROUGH PAIN.’
