A woman was sued after she was found six times above the legal limit when she bumped into a parked car in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.

The 36-year-old had her 14-year-old son in the car when she hit her Toyota Kluger against a Holden Commodore in Goulburn on Wednesday.

The police conducted a roadside breath test that yielded a positive result.

The woman was arrested and again took a breath test at the police station, with a measured value of 0.299.

She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in the high range and her driving license was suspended.

She is expected to appear on March 18 at the local Goulburn court.
