The Dayton shooter family has published an extraordinary online tribute that does not mention that he killed nine people, including his own sister, or that he himself was shot in the street by agents who responded to the massacre.
In a glowing obituary published on the Conner & Koch funeral home website in Bett's birthplace of Bellbrook, Ohio, the mass murderer is described as: & # 39; A funny, articulated and intelligent man with striking blue eyes and a friendly smile & # 39;
It only says that he & # 39; died on Sunday, August 4, 2019 & # 39 ;, the date he took his AM-15, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and unleashed terror and bloodshed in Dayton & # 39; s Oregon District.
He is described as & # 39; an avid reader & # 39 ;, who, & # 39; if you weren't reading on his Kindle or playing his Xbox, you could see him watching his favorite show, Bob & # 39; s Burgers. & # 39;
The tribute offers no apology for his actions and does not mention anything of the life that has come to light after the mass shooting: using drugs, getting obsessed with weapons and allegedly getting a friend to buy him bulletproof clothing.
Strange memory: the family of Connor Betts and his sister Megan published obituaries for the brother and sister who did not mention that he is a mass shooter and that she was one of his victims
No mention of the truth: the death notice from the family of several murderer Connor Betts says nothing about what he did to his victims
Another omission: Megan Betts' longer death announcement says nothing about how her brother killed her during his massive shooting in the Oregon District of Dayton, OH
He & # 39; loved all kinds of music, especially electronic dance music. & # 39; His short time as a singer in Wright State Men & # 39; s Chorale Group is mentioned – but not his drug use.
His love for & # 39; porngrind & # 39 ;, the hardcore music genre with lyrics full of hate, violence and rape and his time as a singer for his band, & # 39; Menstrual Munchies & # 39; passes without mention.
A tribute to his sister is placed immediately after that of her brother. No mention has been made of the violent nature of her last moments and death. Instead, she is also simply described as & # 39; deceased, Sunday, August 4 & # 39 ;.
Her biography includes her love for & # 39; geology, the earth and space & # 39; and the fact that she chose the ambition to work for NASA.
According to the death notice & # 39; the 22-year-old kept & # 39; of writing and he was great in all forms including poetry, short stories and her famous to-do lists. & # 39;
She was happy to make personalized gifts for her family & # 39; and & # 39; began planning and making Christmas gifts in August while she and her mother were listening to Christmas music. & # 39;
Her death announcement ends: & # 39; The world is darker without her. & # 39;
The fact that she had been taken away by her own brother did not prevent the author of his death announcement from saying: & Connor will be greatly missed by his friends, family and especially his good dog Teddy. & # 39;
Family: Connor Betts parents & Moira and Stephen published a series of photos of an apparently happy family life – and without apologizing for his actions
Brothers and sisters: Among the photos published by Connor Betts & # 39; parents were childhood images of Connor and Megan. But they did not indicate that he killed her
With his sister: the death announcement from the Betts family omits how he took his sister to the mass shooting. They were seen with friend Charles & # 39; Chace & # 39; Beard who also murdered Betts on surveillance footage released by the police
Real heroes: Connor Betts – & # 39; funny, articulated and intelligent & # 39; according to his family – was stopped by three officers from the Dayton Police Department before he could kill and injure more people

12:13 a.m. Betts leaves them and goes across the street to another bar, Ned Peppers.
12:42 pm: Betts leaves Ned Peppers and returns to their vehicle at a nearby parking lot, where he changes and picks up his firearm.

1:04 am: Betts turns up and goes through an alley next to Blind Bob & # 39; s, preparing the weapon for firing.
1:05 am: Betts opens fire outside of Blind Bob & # 39; s. The first victims are his sister and the surviving companion, who were standing near a taco. Betts keeps firing and moves to Ned Peppers, where the police shoot him deadly outside the building. Attack is over in about 32 seconds.
Both Betts and Megan photo galleries with each of their obituaries show a carousel of happy childhood moments, including much previously unseen from the family album.
Viewers are encouraged to add their own memories and photos to the photos that have already been posted.
In the days since he committed his atrocity, former friends and ex-girlfriends came forward to describe Betts as a very troubled young man who sometimes & # 39; scared & # 39; made for his own dark thoughts.
In high school he had a & # 39; hit list & # 39; divided into boys he wanted to kill and girls he wanted to rap.
In writings from DailyMail.com, he fantasized about the & # 39; hunting & # 39; on people and he described himself in a messy, barely legible script as & # 39; the servant of the snake & # 39 ;.
The friend who shared this diary page, Ian Himes, 25, claimed that Betts sometimes used hard drugs daily and blew for several days during which he smoked methamphetamine and used different types of uppers, including cocaine.
Betts himself wrote about his: & # 39; ADHD, paranoid, schizophrenic, strong [en] bipolar. & # 39;
Dark secrets: the family death announcements from Connor and Megan Betts make no mention of their intertwined fate or hint at what was going on in the spirit of the shooting
Innocent: police still don't know if Connor Betts intended to kill his sister Megan or if she was a casual victim
Nowhere in the healthy online tribute to Betts is there any hint of darkness from the young man who drove into town that Saturday night.
He had his best friend, Chace Beard, 24, and his sister by his side, and a gun, bulletproof clothing, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in the trunk.
According to a close friend who spoke with DailyMail.com on condition of anonymity, Betts had tried to make & # 39; many friends & # 39; to get to town with him that evening to create the chilling possibility that he had intended to claim much more as a victim.
Surveillance camera recordings show how Betts enters Blind Bob's bar with his sister and beard after 11 p.m. At 12.13 pm he broke off from their company and visited a second bar, Ned Pepper, where he stayed for almost 30 minutes.
During that time, the police revealed that he had contact with both Megan and his friend and even briefly telephoned her at one point.
At 12.42 pm the statue of Betts was caught when he returned to his car, parked in a lot behind the main road of the Oregon District and the bar of Blind Bob.
You can see him turn into a hoodie and take a backpack from his car. When he walked back to the main street, he was lost for about nine minutes in front of the surveillance cameras.
Connor Betts killed nine – including his own sister and wounded 17 others when he opened fire in Dayton, Ohio, on August 3
Researchers believe this is when he assembled his weapon and put on his mask and body armor.
It is still unclear whether he wanted to attack Megan or his friend, but according to Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl he received a text message shortly before he opened fire from the two that he was going to a taco stand.
That was the first place the shooter aimed, although researchers are not sure if he could actually see it from where he broke and started shooting.
In his own writings about himself, a world away from the sanitized family version, the murderer certainly described himself more brutally in accordance with what his true legacy would be.
He wrote: & # 39; I am the servant of the incarnate snake malicious, meat consumer, light destroyer, fed by hatred, anger my strength, distrust my shield. & # 39;
He summarized his goal in three words: & # 39; Find and destroy & # 39 ;.
In social media posts, Betts claimed that he was pro gun control, but in reality, according to friends, his fascination with guns had been around for a long time, and he had increased over the past year.
Will El-Fakir, who went to school with Betts, said he cut off their friendship about five months ago when the shooter held a gun to his head for no reason.
El-Fakir said that Betts had "become a little violent with friends" and started bringing weapons around them.
Someone who spoke to DailyMail.com and considered Betts to be a best friend said the couple had gone to the local arms range on a regular basis in the past year, Shoot Point Blank.
In a disturbing detail, he told how Betts even shot the gun that he would eventually use it in his bloodbath.
The friend said: "We went to the Point Blank shooting range in Miamisburg. He would shoot with the gun he used as it turned out, an AM-15 as well as a semi-automatic gun and on occasion a gun.
"There was nothing special about him when we went, but now I wonder, of course. Did he practice with a purpose?
"I would never have gone with him if I had thought about it or had any idea of what he would do."
Earlier this week, friend, 24-year-old Ethan Kollie, who had known Betts since 2014, admitted having purchased bullet-proof clothing, a high-capacity magazine, and parts of Bett & # 39; s gun for him.
It is unclear whether Kollie who also used drugs with Betts regularly had an idea of what his friend had in mind, but he kept the items in his apartment so that Betts' parents would not find them. On one occasion, Betts came to Kollie's house to assemble a gun.
The shooter had legally purchased the AM-15 used in the massacre.
