The Missouri church, where Brad Pitt's parents are prominent members, has been embroiled in a child pornography scandal.
The actor, who has been battling a high-profile divorce with his wife, Angelina Jolie, was hit with another public blow after the music director of his family's church admitted to sharing child pornography.
"It's just another nightmare for Brad and a point of discord with his mom and dad," a family source told Radar.
"I was horrified that this disgusting human had been under the same roof as his parents, brothers, nieces and nephews."

The church in Missouri, where the parents of Brad Pitt, Jane and Bill (photographed with him at the premiere of The Devil's Own in 1997) are prominent members, has been involved in a scandal of child pornography.
But in April of 2017, music director Craig Wienke was arrested for sharing photos of children.
Church leaders say none of the children in the church were involved in the incidents that took place between November 10, 2016 and April 4, 2017.
Wienke, who was fired by the church after the allegations surfaced, recently pleaded guilty to receiving and distributing child pornography to a woman under the age of 17.
But the case does not seem to have deterred Brad Pitt's parents who are still involved in the church.

"I come from a Christian family, and (homosexual marriage) goes against Christian beliefs, as to what will take you to heaven or not," he said. "My argument is that you can be as you think, and it may be true in the end, I do not think so, but let your God make that call, and meanwhile we live in a country where everyone should be treated in the same way, so let's try to everyone equally, "he said.
