The ex-husband of ‘cult’ mother Lori Vallow tells the police that she has lost the January 2019 reality
New footage has surfaced of ex-husband of cult mother Lori Vallow telling police that she had “ lost ” reality and threatened to murder him in January 2019, six months before being shot by her brother.
Charles Vallow’s video was obtained by ABC. It came from an agent’s bodycam after Charles called the police for alleging that his wife, with whom he had a “great marriage,” threatened to kill him.
The images were taken outside the couple’s home in Phoenix, Arizona.
A month later, Charles filed for divorce, claiming that Lori had threatened to kill him repeatedly and thought she was God.
Six months later, Charles was shot dead by Lori’s brother in what he described as an act of self-defense after a dispute at the couple’s home.
In the newly released bodycam footage, Charles said that Lori no longer thought he was her husband and called him ‘Nick Schneider’, someone he said neither knew.

Bodycam footage obtained by ABC released Tuesday shows Charles Vallow telling police that his wife Lori lost reality and threatened to kill him in January 2019
Lori will be brought to trial in Idaho on May 1. She is currently being held on a $ 1 million bond because of the disappearance of her two children
He said she behaved erratically and withdrew large amounts from their bank accounts.
Charles told police that his marriage to Lori (shown before the video) was ‘great’ until about a month before he called the police
“She has lost her reality.
“We had a great marriage and suddenly, last month, it just exploded,” said Charles.
He went on to say that Lori threatened him, “I’ll kill you because you’re not Charles and no one cares.”
“She thinks I’m Nick Schneider. It is a name she used.
“I don’t know where it comes from. I’m just as baffled as you are, “said Charles.
According to a police report, Lori was then allowed to drive to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
It’s unclear what happened in the months that followed, but in June of that year, Lori’s brother Alex Cox shot Charles dead after a dispute at their marital home in Arizona.
It was the beginning of a bizarre series of disappearances and suspicious deaths in various states.
Lori remains in custody in Idaho over a $ 1 million bail for failing to disclose where her children, 17-year-old Tylee and seven-year-old JJ, are.
Lori’s children, JJ, seven, and Tylee, 17, have not been seen since September last year and she refuses to say where they are
Weeks after her kids disappeared, Lori married Pastor Chad Daybell at a beach ceremony in Hawaii
The children have not been seen since September 2019.
After they disappeared, Lori’s brother Alex died. She married Chad Daybell, a doomsday enthusiast, just two weeks after his wife died under suspicious circumstances.
Daybell is Lori’s fifth husband. The couple got married at a beach ceremony in Hawaii in October, after the kids were last seen alive.
They then returned to Idaho, but fled again after authorities began asking questions about the children’s whereabouts.
Lori was eventually extradited to Idaho earlier this year. She declined to answer questions about the case, but grinned repeatedly in court.
Before Charles died, Lori was accused of taking him out of his $ 1 million life insurance policy.
He changes it not long before his death to make his sister the primary beneficiary.
Lori subsequently complained about it in emails.
Lori’s husband for Charles, Joseph Ryan, sued her for denying him visiting rights with their daughter, Tylee, in 2006.
Ryan reportedly died of a heart attack in 2018 years after he and Lori were separated.
Little is known about her first two husbands. She had a son with one of them who is now an adult and has repeatedly begged her to share information about Tylee and JJ’s whereabouts.
