The Epic Games v. Apple trial kicks off with kids shouting “free Fortnite”


The Epic Games v Apple The trial begins today and has begun with a court conference call full of screaming children Fortnite to return to mobile. Anyone can dial in and listen to today’s procedure via the public call line, but the court was unable to properly mute all participants for more than 20 minutes. The result was what sounded like a chaotic Discord call.

More than 200 participants were called on the public line, and many shouted ‘free’ FortniteOr “bring back Fortnite on mobile please judge. “Others played Travis Scott tunes, chatted, or promoted their YouTube channels.

The trial was scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.ET, and clerks could be heard attempting to mute the participants multiple times without success. At 11:30 a.m.ET, things finally fell silent in court preparation to hear from Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, today.

But for a short period of time Fortnite fans are calling for the game to return to the iPhone and iPad. In the coming weeks we will see if that is likely to happen.
