A Dubai princess who ended her marriage on Instagram has launched a new perfume called Divorce.
Sheikha Mahra Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, 30, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler, took to Instagram to post a photo of the sleek matte black bottle with the word ‘Divorce’ written on the front.
In July, Sheikha Mahra announced her separation from industrialist Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, via an Instagram post, just two months after the couple welcomed their first child.
In a brief first look at her perfume, released under her Mahra M1 brand, viewers were treated to a collection of elegant scenes including photos of herself, black roses, broken glass and the eyes of a panther.
But yesterday, the princess uploaded a photo of the bottle and revealed the name of her luxury fragrance to her 985,000 followers.
In July, Sheikha Mahra announced her split with industrialist Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
The princess took to Instagram to promote her new luxury fragrance called Divorce.
The couple welcomed a baby girl into the world in May this year.
Her fans were quick to leave supportive comments underneath the post, with many praising Mahra for being “elegant” and “very reserved.”
One social media user wrote: “I’m here to support her. I’m sure she turned something painful into a business opportunity.”
Another said: “See how Mahra behaves accordingly? She is very demure, very calm, very princess-like, not like most of you who throw tantrums or post videos online, no, she is very classy, very reserved, very serious.”
A third added: “When women are done dealing with you, they’re done.”
The princess has not yet revealed any details about the launch date of her new fragrance.
The daughter of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, took to Instagram two months ago to announce her impending divorce from her then-husband.
The message read: ‘Dear husband, since you are busy with other partners, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you.
Take care, your ex-wife.
In his message, he apparently used the practice of Islamic divorce or triple talaq, where Muslim men can divorce women by simply declaring their intention three times verbally.
Mahra filed for divorce from her husband on Instagram in July.
Mahra graduated from an unspecified university in London last year with a degree in international relations.

Triple talaq is not an option for women under Islamic law, which states that a woman can only seek divorce by filing a formal application with a court and citing a valid reason.
It appears that Mahra and Mana have unfollowed each other on social media and have deleted all posts of them together from their respective accounts.
They officially tied the knot just over a year ago, in May 2023, and had a baby girl in May of this year.
Sheikh Mohammed is reportedly one of the UK’s largest landowners, with more than 40,000 hectares of land across London, Scotland and Newmarket, The Guardian revealed in 2021.
Mahra graduated from an unspecified university in London last year with a degree in international relations, and was photographed outside the Southbank Centre in February 2023 wearing a black mortarboard.
The sheikha is an outspoken advocate of women’s rights.
Meanwhile, Sheik Mana is a well-known businessman who has been photographed with legendary footballer Ronaldinho and famous social media personality Andrew Tate.
Sheikha Mahra’s family and her husband have yet to make any public comment.
