Could a Kingdom Come 2 await us? The developers are working on at least one new AAA game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released five years ago – it is not known what the Warhorse Games studio has been working on since the huge medieval success. But now the developers have mentioned their new project for the first time, albeit very vaguely.
Warhorse Games is looking for Reinforcement in the form of a cinematic designer. The job posting states that he would be partially responsible for the cutscenes in their new AAA game. However, great care is taken not to reveal too much about the project.
Together with our animators, designers, VFX artists and sound designers we create AAA quality cutscenes full of humour, action, thrills and generally unique moments not seen in other development studios.
However, what is still revealed is the one used CryEngine. It was also used for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
What are the chances of a Kingdom Come 2?
Fans have been speculating for some time that Warhorse Games is working on a sequel to their medieval RPG. This has not been confirmed for a long time, but it would be quite plausible. After all, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a notable success and players are eagerly awaiting a sequel.
There was some replenishment with four DLCs, but the last one called A Woman’s Lot was released in May 2019 – at least since then the developers have probably been working on the unknown project. The fact that the CryEngine is now being used again certainly doesn’t cloud the assumption of a second part.
Would you look forward to a Kingdom Come 2, or would you prefer a refreshingly new game from the Czech studio? Which scenario could you imagine particularly well? Tell us your ideas in the comments!
