Ben Wallace, the Defense Secretary, will be following the results closely in Preston, as will Mel Stride, the Work and Pensions Secretary, in Mid Devon.
A total of 15 cabinet members will wait nervously on the night of May 4 to see how the Tory vote holds up against both Labor and the Lib Dems.
What do the results mean for the PM?
The Tories have already started expectation management, with Greg Hands, the party chairman, saying they expect to lose 1,000 seats.
“Independent expectations are that the Conservatives will lose more than 1,000 seats and that Labor should make big gains,” he told Sky News.
Just a few weeks ago, Labor activists privately predicted a bloodbath that could see the Tories lose 2,000 seats.
