Israel’s Eurovision performance has been booed and met with chants of “Free Palestine” in chaotic scenes.

Eden Golan was almost drowned out by the protest during the Eurovision Song Contest jury show last night.

Videos shared online show pro-Palestinian activists disrupting almost their entire performance, with people in the crowd calling the atmosphere “horrible.”

The singer, who was born in Israel but grew up in Russia, has received death threats ahead of her performance at Sweden’s Malmo Arena in this week’s competition.

The 20-year-old was performing her song ‘Hurricane’ when she was attacked by protesters who shouted and booed in protest against their nation.

It comes after calls for Israel to be banned from competing in Eurovision following the war in Gaza, which saw 33,000 Palestinians killed after Hamas launched a series of terror attacks.

Golan had caused controversy after she was accused of referencing the Oct. 7 kidnapping and murder of Israelis by the militant group Hamas with lyrics from her original song, October Rain.

It was later replaced by Hurricane, a moving and heartfelt track which was later approved by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes the event.
