Fans of The Crow have already spotted a major problem with the action movie's upcoming remake

Fans of The Crow have already spotted a major problem with the action movie’s upcoming remake.

The trailer for the new version of the beloved 1994 superhero movie hit the web this week – but many social media users were quick to notice a big difference between the original and the remake that left them wanting.

The first glimpse of the Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs starrer featured a steamy montage and a series of action-packed scenes while Post Malone’s smash hit Take What You Want featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott played in the background.

But longtime fans of the OG movie — which was based on a 1989 graphic novel of the same name — were upset by the song choice.

Many were quick to point out that the ’90s film was known for having a primarily rock soundtrack that helped bring the grunge and gothic feel of the cartoon to life on screen.

Immediately, X, formerly known as Twitter, was flooded with messages from people slamming the teaser.

“The Crow trailer and that music… I had to put on the ’94 soundtrack to cleanse my palate,” one person gushed. Another agreed: ‘The music is a complete and total failure.’

‘If they don’t get the music right, it’s going to be terrible. The music was such a big part of The Crowl, added another.

‘Well, this looks just as s**t as I expected. Notice the choice of music they used. I’m sure there’s an audience for it, but I’m not part of it. HARD PASS,’ read a fourth tweet.

A fifth said: ‘It looks decent but the music in the trailer is terrible. The original The Crow had a great soundtrack that was a big part of that film.’

‘The Crow (trailer) was so f**king wack. Where’s the rock music bro?’, asked another user.

Another added: ‘That song choice was bloody funny. Trying to appeal to the wrong crowd with that sh**t.

‘The Crow is inherently creepy (and bad), but in an angsty goth-teen way. Choose music that appeals to them more.’

“The vibes are SO OFF the music pisses me off,” another slammed.

The Crow follows a musician named Eric Draven (played by Bill, 33), who is resurrected from the dead after he and his fiancee Shelly Webster (portrayed by FKA, 36) are brutally murdered by gang members.

After rising from his grave, Eric becomes The Crow – a supernatural being who embarks on a dark quest for revenge on the people who had killed him and his lover.

The 1994 thriller starred Bruce Lee’s son Brandon Lee, who was tragically killed while making the film in a prop gun accident.

He was shot in the stomach by a makeshift bullet left in a gun from an earlier scene.

The US Occupational Health and Safety Administration fined the production $84,000 for violations following the actor’s death, but the fine was later reduced to $55,000.

Over three decades after the real-life tragedy, Bill now takes on the role for the reimagined version of the tragic love story, which is set to hit theaters on June 7.

Part of the trailer showed Shelly being tied down by two men as she screamed for help.

Another showed their killers strangling them as they stared into each other’s eyes in horror.

“When someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead,” said one narrator.

‘But sometimes something so bad happens that the soul cannot rest until you have put the wrong things right.’

“I’ll kill them,” Eric said in a once chilling scene. “Every single one of them.”

The remake also received backlash when the first images of it surfaced last month.

At the time, X-users toasted Bill’s appearance, with some comparing him to ‘Jared Leto’s Joker’.

“I want to see The Crow, not another version of Jared Leto as the Joker from Suicide Squad,” one person wrote. ‘Terrible character design.’

‘They Jared Leto’s Joker-fied Eric Draven. It’s disgusting, said another.
