It’s the latest beauty trend gone wrong, and it’s hitting top celebrities the hardest.

Many Hollywood stars, including Jessica Simpson and Scott Disick, faced accusations this year that they had an “Ozempic face” after hitting the red carpet with slender profiles.

And fans now say there are even more celebrities who have been struck by the look, characterized by sunken eyes, gaunt cheeks and sagging skin.

Katy Perry reignited ‘Ozempic face’ rumors on Monday after her fans said the 40-year-old, who was on the red carpet in Philadelphia, looked ‘haggard.’

And at this year’s Met Gala, some viewers also expressed concern that Jennifer Lopez might be in Ozempic, saying she looked “really skinny.”

Lizzo has also been hit with accusations that she has an Ozempic face, and fans say her weight loss journey has slimmed down her appearance.

Lizzo and Katy Perry have denied using Ozempic, while Jennifer Lopez has not responded to the allegations.

Dr Smita Ramanadham, a New Jersey plastic surgeon, previously told DailyMail.com: ‘The Ozempic face has essentially the same features we see when patients lose weight quickly or regularly.

‘We see a loss of volume in the face, and when we lose fat in the face we see signs such as more sunken cheeks, more sagging skin and a general hollowing out of the features.

“Sometimes it can have the effect of making a person look older, because the fat in our cheeks is what gives us a more youthful appearance.”

And again this week

And again on Instagram on November 29.

Some fans also accused Lizzo of using Ozempic (shown on the left in May 2023 and on the right in November of this year). Lizzo has denied this and said her weight loss is due to exercise and diet.

Dr. Sue Decotiis, a weight loss expert who has prescribed Ozempic to thousands of patients, added that weight loss appears more dramatic in those with longer faces because of the way the skin stretches.

To date, an estimated 15 million people have used Ozempic and similar weight loss medications in the U.S., estimates suggest.

And of those, two-thirds say the medications have been “extremely effective” or “effective” in helping them lose a few extra pounds.

At the top of the recent list of accusations about Ozempic’s face was Katy Perry, with viewers saying she was now “extremely thin.”

The Wide Awake singer scoffed at suggestions she had used Ozempic, handing out goodie bags at her 40th birthday party in October that contained a mini syringe emblazoned with the word OzempiKP.

This week, she complained on the red carpet that she “hates working out,” but said she had been dancing and swimming more to lose weight.

Sources have also previously suggested that her dramatic transformation is down to her husband Orlando Bloom, who is said to have taken charge of the kitchen.

Lizzo, 36, has repeatedly denied that she is using Ozempic, saying she instead exercises and eats healthy to lose weight.

And in 2023. Surgeons said his cheeks were more sunken.

Jessica Simpson (pictured in 2020, left and 2023) also had an Ozempic face, the surgeons suggested, because she had more sunken cheeks.

Fans have shared their concerns over whether Sharon (pictured in 2020) is 'sick' following her third weight loss after taking the drug Ozempic, which is used to treat diabetes.

Fans have shared their concerns over whether Sharon (pictured left in 2020) is ‘sick’ following her third weight loss after taking the drug Ozempic.

She dressed up as ‘LizzOzempic’ on Halloween, in reference to a South Park episode that linked her to the drug, and also shared a TikTok with the caption: ‘When you finally get the accusations from Ozempic after five months of weight training and calorie deficit’. .’

Jennifer Lopez, 55, has not addressed allegations that she may have used Ozempic, but fans expressed concern for the singer after some said she looked “gaunt” and “really thin.”

Surgeons who previously reviewed photos of fifteen celebrities who had recent weight-loss transformations suggested that more than half, mostly men, had Ozempic faces.

It was harder to tell with women, they said, because they have traditionally been more likely to use fillers and cover imperfections with makeup.

Top of the list was John Goodman, who experts said had drastically less facial volume and, as a result, looser skin that had formed wrinkles.

Dr Ramanadham said: “It hasn’t been in the news about Ozempic, so I don’t know if that’s it…

“But even with just losing weight, you see more lines, more wrinkles, and more deflation in your face as you lose weight compared to when you were heavier and your face was fuller.”

“These changes are very typical of general weight loss, regardless of whether weight loss medications were used.”

John, 71, has lost 200 pounds in more than a decade, which is due to eating smaller portions, walking his dogs daily and, at one point, eliminating sugar and alcohol from his diet.

Oh! Robbie Williams, 49, has revealed that his 2kg weight loss is due to

Robbie Williams revealed he lost 25 pounds with Ozempic (he left in 2013 and left last year). Surgeons said the more pronounced lines on his face, as well as sunken cheeks, were signs of the Ozempic face.

He has not said he used Ozempic, although photos emerged this month of him at a New York City airport in which he appears particularly emaciated.

Scott Disick, who is rumored to be in Ozempic, was also on the list, with doctors pointing out sunken areas under his eyes.

But surgeons said it’s unusual for weight-loss drugs to cause such a dramatic change in your appearance, suggesting other factors may be at play, even if you were using the drugs aggressively.

They also ranked Robbie Williams among celebrities with an Ozempic face, with Dr. Ramanadham said: ‘You can see a hollow under the eyes and cheeks and more wrinkles appear due to loss of volume. With Robbie, you can see direct weight loss results.’

Weight loss specialist Dr Sue Decotiis added: ‘He seems like a totally different person! “He has a longer face, which means the weight loss definitely makes him look very haggard.”

The ‘Angels’ star, 50, revealed her 25-pound weight loss last year, saying it was due to ‘something like Ozempic’ and calling the weight loss a ‘Christmas miracle.’

Among women, both doctors said Sharon Osbourne, also 71, was the most dramatic example of Ozempic’s face, after the star revealed she lost 42 pounds on Ozempic and then “couldn’t stop losing weight.”

“Their eyes appear more sunken and their cheeks appear more sunken,” Dr. Ramanadham said. “There is also a significant loss of facial volume and more associated wrinkles.”

Both also pointed out the nasolabial fold (or line that runs from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth) which they said had become more pronounced.

Of Jessica, Dr. Jones said, “When you look at the photo above, her face is much fuller and has more volume.

‘But when I look at the after photo, his eyes, his face, are more sunken, his cheeks are not as full. Her face looks a little haggard, actually, like she’s been starving.

Jessica never said she used a weight-loss medication, but she previously revealed between 2019 and 2020 that she had lost 100 pounds.
