According to the brand’s Instagram account, The Store is a “community that empowers individuals and families seeking self-sufficiency by providing them with a dignified shopping experience.”

During her emotional speech, Kimberly explained, “We now serve over a thousand people a year at our initial location, and our goal with this store is really for people to be able to shop with dignity and we can help them get back on their feet so they don’t need us.”

She continued: “This is not meant to be a long-term solution. It’s about investing in the community, and then people can turn around and volunteer at the store. We’re going to need a lot of volunteers.”

The informational video began with Centennial Medical Center President and CEO Tom Ozburn sharing, ‘I think you all know our mission statement: Above all else, we are dedicated to the care and improvement of human life.

‘People who have a heart for service and a heart for their neighbors: Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.’

Brad took center stage and explained: ‘When we first had the vision for this, for this thing, I was going to say charity again, but it’s more than that.

“This is something that was Kim’s idea, it was actually yours, in the sense that she felt that our children were not acting correctly…”

Kimberly humorously clenched her jaw in discomfort and flashed a nervous smile.

He continued: “And they needed to understand that there are people in need in the world.”

“This is really going to be a great thing because we are partnering with one of the most amazing hospitals and organizations.”

Kimberly added in her speech: “We are launching a major campaign: a five million dollar campaign to pay for construction and operations for the first few years.”
