A Coronation Street star has left the cobbles just a year after her first appearance on the ITV soap.
The actor, who already has his next show planned, will leave the soap opera in upcoming explosive scenes.
Calum Lill, who plays villain Joel Deering, will film his final scenes in the coming months, according to The sun.
This follows recent reports that Bill Fellows, who plays Stu Carpenter, will also be leaving the show.
In the soap opera, it was eventually revealed that Joel had been manipulating and abusing young girls and had also attempted to murder Lauren Bolton.

A source told the publication: ‘Calum has made a huge impact as Joel over the past year, but he always knew it wouldn’t be for a fixed period.
“He’s been great playing Joel, but all good soap villains need to get their comeuppance and Joel’s is coming very soon. He’s already got his first job after the show so he’ll be done in time to start rehearsals.”
“But on screen, Joel has no idea what’s in store for him as his dark secrets begin to be exposed.”
Calum already has his next role in the works, as he will appear in the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk later this year in Bournemouth.
Coronation Street cast Calum, best known for playing Constable Carlton Smith in Hollyoaks in 2021, last year.
During his time in Hollyoaks, Calum played a major role in the storyline of John Paul McQueen, who saw his boyfriend, agent George Smith, abuse him.

Calum’s Hollyoaks character, PC Smith, first appeared in the village in March 2021 and appeared in 12 episodes.
But Hollyoaks isn’t the only show Calum has landed a role in, as in 2018 he appeared in three short films: I Can See Clearly Now, Sleep Warm and Heads or Tails.
A year later, he starred in Holby City, playing Chez Wilson-Needham, and also appeared in the Brummie soap opera Doctors the same year, playing Conor Henson.
