The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on Thursday, May 25th, but unfortunately, the entire game was leaked online a while ago.
We won’t be sharing any links to the leaked demos here, but someone did post a full gameplay video via YouTube, and the video has since been deleted, but it remained available for several hours before it was removed. As you’d expect, there are threads on both Reddit and resetera discussing the leaked screenshots, while We at IGN have reached out to developer Daedalic Entertainment for comment on this news.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum takes place during the opening chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring, and as its name might suggest, its story centers on Gollum as he attempts to retrieve the Ring from Bilbo Baggins. The game will take us on a journey through a number of iconic locations from Middle-earths, from Bard-dûr and Mirkwood to Mordor, and Gollum will have to rely on his stealth skills given his limited combat capabilities.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on May 25th on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One, while the Switch release has been delayed until later this year.
