A comedian and influencer was forced to have chunks of her buttocks amputated after fillers injected into her butt leaked.

Mexican artist Yered Licona, known to her two million Instagram followers as Wanders Lover, says polymers injected into her butt without her knowledge suddenly solidified on a plane to Canada.

Yered had been visiting his daughter when he noticed that his butt felt strange.

She told local media: “I was flying to Canada and started to feel like something was wrong on the plane.

‘It started to hurt and I went to the bathroom and felt my butt and it was really hard. I thought to myself “What’s going on?”

Doctors later discovered that polymers injected into Yered’s butt during a cosmetic procedure had leaked, infecting his tissue.

He said he had been told he had a rare disease known as ASIA syndrome, which stands for autoimmune/adjuvant-induced inflammatory syndrome.

It was first identified by Israeli immunologist Yehuda Shoenfeld, who said it was caused by an autoimmune overreaction to substances such as silicone.

Victims can suffer from acute pain, fatigue, cognitive problems, neurological problems and a variety of other ailments and this can occur anywhere from two days to 23 years after exposure to trigger substances such as silicone.

Tragically, Yered cannot see those responsible punished because she is not sure at what stage the silicone was injected into her butt during a series of cosmetic procedures.

She said the only thing she knew for sure was that she had never agreed to such an operation and was shocked that during one of the beauty procedures she was injected with the substance, resulting in the disastrous amputation of most of her butt.

She said: “I trusted a doctor to tune my body, and without warning I was injected with polymers into my buttocks, a substance that gave me Asia syndrome, which I will have to deal with for the rest of my existence.”

The images show Yered in a Mexico City hospital, where surgeons had to cut almost three-quarters of the tissue from his buttocks.

Images of the artist on social media show her bravely smiling as she is carried on a stretcher.

She said: ‘They amputated just the top part, which was about four fingers away from both buttocks.

‘That’s why I’m devastated, it was an amputation, it was a piece of flesh that was taken from me.

But I can’t point to anyone as responsible because I don’t know. But at no point did anyone tell me: “We are going to inject this into your body.”

“Imagine my surprise, I searched for a dream body and ended up in a medical nightmare.”
