Rabbits are often associated with the seasons of spring and are often depicted as the animal that represents Easter.

But Gemma Markland, from Wigan, is the proud owner of Stormi, a fluffy gray rabbit who loves Christmas.

The content creator said he is “obsessed” with the holiday season, adding that he gets “excited” as soon as he sees the decorations come out of storage.

She said: “He will literally jump on them, try to get involved to the point he was found sitting on the ornament box on numerous occasions already this week.”

Gemma said she had never met a rabbit that had “so much personality”, adding that it is bolder than her boxer dog.

He then filmed a rather curious Stormi sniffing the ornaments with her nervous nose, before she began jumping onto the top of the tree, which was put away.

The bunny looked comfortable and cozy as he snuggled his furry body inside the white ornament box.

As soon as the green Christmas tree was up and decorated, Gemma shared a clip of Stormi standing on her hind legs to watch the dazzling fairy lights.

She added: “I’m pretty sure I’ll find him sitting under this tree 90 percent of the day, because for some reason he’s just obsessed.”

“He is the cutest little thing. I absolutely adore him and thought I would share this fun little fact about him.

“I thought I’d tell you this story about how I think he’s not the Easter Bunny, but the Christmas Bunny.”

Stormi was then seen looking cozy, lying under Gemma’s Christmas tree next to the radiator to keep warm.

He then grabbed Stormi and gave her a big kiss, before saying that his followers love him and always ask him for updates on how he’s doing.

Gemma has a whopping one million followers on Instagram and shares videos about the inside of her home.

Stormi’s clip racked up 421,000 likes and hundreds of comments from Instagram users.

Rabbit.org recommends that owners supervise their bunnies when releasing them around Christmas trees, in case they chew or pull on branches or decorations.

They added that if the tree has not been treated with chemicals, it should be relatively safe for a rabbit to chew on.

The charity said it must ensure electrical light cords are hidden from pets, along with tinsel and synthetic garlands which can be harmful if ingested.

They said pine cones are generally safe for rabbits and can serve as chews and holiday toys.
