The Chase’s Anne Hegerty spills the beans on the Chasers’ secret WhatsApp group, which they use to have a ‘b***h about’ producers
The Chase star Anne Hegerty, 65, has shared how she and her quiz show co-stars have a WhatsApp group where they talk candidly about producers.
The TV star revealed that the group chat serves as a support system during tough times when the Chasers – consisting of Anne, Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Paul Sinha, Shaun Wallace and Darragh Ennis – often lose on the show.
Anne – nicknamed the Governess in the hit ITV show – told the story The Express how the five Chasers are very close and like to socialize in a certain restaurant because ‘people don’t eavesdrop’.
She said, ‘We have WhatsApp. We have a WhatsApp group where the producers are in and another one where the producers aren’t, so we can talk about them.
“If someone is struggling, if someone (a fighter) is losing a lot, we would be very reassuring, because it could be any of us.”

The star, who is known for her serious take on the show, spoke affectionately to the show’s host Bradley Walsh.
She gushed, “(Bradley) is just a legendary presenter, and he’s just such a nice guy, all the Chasers are so close to him.”
MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.
The TV personality is best known for her intelligence on the show and also debuted in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
She has previously shared how she copes with autism and last year revealed that it has helped her find love.
On her spin-off series The Chasers Road Trip, the presenter revealed that the longest relationship she had been in was four months and ended it because she was “not good” at giving him the right amount of attention.
She further joked that she is “actually a Cyborg” after learning she has an emotional intelligence level of only 1%.
She said, “One of the things that really comes with autism is that I really can’t sustain relationships. I’ve tried.
“My longest relationship was four months and it only lasted that long because he lived in Brighton and I lived in Manchester.”

Cheers: The star is a big fan of presenter Bradley Walsh, describing him as ‘legendary’ and ‘a nice guy’, adding that all Chasers get along with him
Anne’s honest talk comes after she confessed earlier this year that she still lives in her housing association.
On the How To Be 60 podcast with Kaye Adams and Karen MacKenzie, the TV personality said, “I live in a housing association flat. I own half and rent the other half.’
Anne also added that she prides herself on being easy to work with. She said, “In my real life, I’m trying to build a reputation that’s easy to work with. To not be a diva.
“When I’m going to do a panto and meet the producers for the first time, sometimes I say to them, ‘Keep in mind I’m low maintenance.
“It’s amazing how far you can get with a little talent and a reputation for being a good sport. I try to be a good sport and not be difficult.’
