After a year away from basketball, the Cavinder twins are ready to return to the Miami court.

It may be months away from the college basketball season officially kicking off, but things in Miami are starting to heat up for the Cavinder Twins.

After a year away from the court, Hanna and Haley Cavinder are ready to return to the University of Miami in dramatic fashion.

At the end of the 2022-23 season, the twins announced they would be leaving their playing days behind and moving on to future projects.

But it was in October 2023 that Haley decided to return to basketball, committing to TCU with the intention of playing his final season in 2024-25.

After watching her sister prepare for the upcoming season, Hanna decided she wanted to get back in the game, too.

“When I made the decision to stop playing, I was excited to get more involved in the businesses and brands we are a part of,” Hanna said. he told The New York Post in an email interview.

“But watching Haley train and prepare for the season made me realize that I wasn’t ready to stop playing.

“I love basketball and I know I won’t be able to play it forever. Being with my sister is the perfect way to end my career.”

So not only did Hanna announce she would be returning to Miami for one final season, but she was also joined by her sister Haley, who left TCU to return to play for the Hurricanes.

It looks like it will be a triumphant return for the twins who helped lead the Canes to the Elite Eight in 2023.

“We both feel like we have more to give,” Haley said. “We want to end our college basketball careers on a high note and we wanted to do it together.”

‘The support from our coaches, teammates and family made it clear that this was the right decision for us.

‘We both knew we had unfinished business on the court and we wanted to try one more time, together.’
